If there’s anything we love about working at NM, it is the assortment of epicurean items that come exclusively from our kitchens. Along with our seasonal arrivals is a new pasta offering created Neiman Marcus Corporate Chef Anita Hirsch: the Andean Dream Quinoa Pasta dish, debuting this spring at Mariposa®, The Zodiac®, NM Cafe and The Mermaid Bar® restaurants at NM stores.
When asked about the process of creating a completely vegetarian dish in partnership with Andean Dream quinoa products—known for being gluten-free, kosher and vegan—Chef Hirsch explained that developing new dishes is an ongoing process in her kitchen. The quinoa pasta complements NM’s new healthful menu that we refer to as Go Figure cuisine, all guilt-free delectables.
Of course, we had to stop by The Zodiac at NM’s flagship in Dallas to taste the new dish with Andean Dream quinoa pasta, cherry tomatoes, eggplant caponata, arugula, parmesan and lemon ricotta (you may also add shrimp). We have to say, it tastes as good as it looks!
