Golden Globes Top Looks
January 11, 2016
Amid the panorama of glamour on the Golden Globes red carpet last night, we spotted a few key trends. There was no shortage of sequins, romance reigned, florals were in bloom, and navy seemed to be the new black (sorry, orange). But one thing in particular stood out to us: Individuality was the accessory of the night—along with the ubiquitous Judith Leiber Couture clutch. Each of these stars showcased her unique style, and we’re passing on some inspiration for when you need to own the night.
Reminisce red carpet style from last night, and see how you can get the looks below.
Bryce Dallas Howard in Jenny Packham
We love a woman who shops for herself! The ever-gorgeous star of Jurassic World eschewed the stylist system and went straight to Neiman Marcus for her Jenny Packham gown.
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior dress & beauty
Congratulations to Jennifer for picking up Best Actress for her starring role in Joy and for her winning look on the red carpet. Get her glow with Dior skin Forever Foundation and Dior Addict Lipstick in Zig Zag, and find Dior apparel in select NM stores.
Jennifer Lopez in Giambattista Valli
J-Lo always brings the glam, and she’s never afraid of taking risks on the red carpet. Brava for an unexpected combination of yellow and silver. We particularly loved her vampy manicure against her glittering Judith Leiber Couture crystal herringbone clutch.
Amy Schumer in Prabal Gurung
The ever-hilarious Schumer of Trainwreck was perfectly poised in Prabal Gurung, giving us classic vibes in black and white.
Rooney Mara in Alexander McQueen
The red carpet was full of ruffles and romance, and Rooney wore one of our favorite looks by Alexander McQueen. Wear this fanciful frock to your next gala.
Olivia Wilde in Michael Kors Collection
Olivia Wilde worked a plunging neckline in a custom, sequined Michael Kors Collection gown, paired with Bulgari jewels and Aldo heels. Wilde’s dare to bare was one of the top risks (and successes) of the night.
Kirsten Dunst in Valentino
Kirsten Dunst’s floor-sweeping velvet Valentino gown paired with diamond drop earrings and Salvatore Ferragamo heels claimed the carpet, crowning her a style winner for the night.
Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton
The Danish Girl actress Alicia Vikander stunned in a Louis Vuitton dress paired with dangling diamond earrings. Achieve this look by donning a textured, open-back white gown with a touch of sparkle for accessories.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Atelier Versace
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley commanded attention on the carpet in a skin-tight, gold-sequined Atelier Versace dress with a low neckline, while also confirming engagement rumors with a sparkler on her hand.
