The end of summer brings all sorts of fall style inspirations, from runway trends to the streets. But to be honest, some of us also fall back to our day-to-day staples as soon as temperatures allow us to wear those beloved skinny jeans and perfectly tailored blazers. Style blogger Kimberly Pesch is no stranger to that phenomenon, and she’s always shopping for the long haul. This month, we partnered with Kimberly and PayPal to create a great style guide as we transition into fall. As Pesch says, “Every girl needs a great fitted blazer, statement shoe, and classic leather wallet,” and we couldn’t agree more. If you are not already a fan of her super sophisticated SoCal personal style and blog, here’s a little Q&A for you to get to know this fashionable gal.
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA
Home now: Los Angeles, CA
Favorite place for style photos in your city: I love to discover new back alleys in my neighborhood. They are filled with all kinds of urban textures.
What are your style essentials when transitioning from summer to fall? Super-lightweight jackets and blazers. Blazers are a great option so you don’t have to pull out those jackets right away. Also, a leather biker jacket. In California, it gets nice and crisp at night, and you get that instant cool factor!
A designer who you just recently started wearing and loved: I think lately my closet is overflowing with Saint Laurent. Its bags and shoes are so on point.
Your go-to handbag and shoes for fall: My classic black Chanel boy bag. It takes the simplest of looks and gives it that polished finishing touch. For shoes, I am always into short booties for fall. Perfect to run around town.
What are your handbag essentials around the city? Mophie phone charger, pair of sunglasses, Tom Ford Abandon Lip Color Shine, lip primer, Band-Aids, Chloe rollerball perfume, and iPad mini.
Where do you find style inspiration? Pinterest! It’s overflowing with both style and lifestyle inspo. I am kind of addicted to it (http://www.pinterest.com/eatsleepwear), and I love that I can be inspired by people and places from all over the world there.
Favorite photo app/filter: VSCO Cam
Where could we find you on a Saturday afternoon? Bike riding on the Venice Beach boardwalk or sipping lattes at my fave coffee shop.
What’s your latest social media/tech obsession? WhatsApp. I meet people from all over the world, and it’s nice to be able to stay in touch!
Something we don’t know about you: I am Dutch! Besides my immediate family, everyone lives in Holland. So I grew up in a European-style
