Oh Honey’s SXSW Playlist
March 13, 2014
Mitchy Collins and Danielle Bouchard used to spend their time as honey farmers in Brooklyn, NY before they created the duet Oh Honey. The indie-folk-pop band has the kind of music that you listen to with a group of friends, maybe by a fireplace, or at the beach over a late summer day, which is why we are thrilled to see them perform March 14 at CUSP on Rainey Street.
Here we bring you Collins and Bouchard’s own take on Austin’s music scene, a lot of feel-good music to play while we wait for their live show on Friday.
Now follow Oh Honey’s playlist on CUSP by Neiman Marcus’ Spotify Chanel!
The 1975 – “Heart Out”
The perfect balance of cool and catchy – digging everything they do and excited to catch them at the festival!
Misterwives – “Coffins”
Brooklyn represent! We love these guys and girl – we played their EP release show with them in Brooklyn a few months ago and fell in love with this song and Mandy’s haunting voice.
Coldplay – “The Scientist”
How could you not love this song? Definitely trying to catch them at the iTunes Festival – amazing band.
Cash Cash – “Satellites”
We are very close with these guys – super talented producers and musicians. Love the anthemic feel of this track off their EP.
Vance Joy – “Riptide”
Just such a feel-good song. Such a good vibe.
American Authors – “Think About It”
Another hometown friend from Brooklyn, we are really digging their brand new album, released this week. This song is feel-good and lyrically hits home. We are really excited to hop on tour with them for a week later this month!
Wild Cub – “Thunder Clatter”
We can’t wait to hit the road with these guys. This song is so much fun, and we can’t wait to hear it every night for a week.
Until the Ribbon Breaks – “Pressure”
One of our favorite songs to come out in the last year – not to mention some of the best people we know!
