Scents of Place
September 18, 2014
We grabbed NM VP of Beauty Kelly St. John right before she jetted to market in New York to ask her what fragrances she’d be taking along. (After all, with limited packing space and fragile bottles, you’ve got to give this matter special consideration.) Her reply?
“I have an admitted addiction to two fragrances that are polar opposites,” she says. “It’s perfect because either way, I’ll have a fragrance to compliment my energy and mood throughout the long week at market. Agonist Black Amber is savory and sweet with a cool herbal and driftwood vibe atop an incense and amber heart. It’s a great option for Fall. At the opposite end of the spectrum is my other obsession: Aqua Universalis by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. It’s a clean scent composed of bergamot, Sicilian lemon, lily of the valley, sweet orange, and blonde musky wood. With those in tow, I’ll be set.”
