Tibi Fall 2014
March 4, 2014
In the midst of New York Fashion Week, we had the pleasure to go backstage at Tibi’s Fall 2014 show at Pier 59 Studios and take a closer look at the contemporary label’s fall beauty look. Hair and makeup played along Western pastoral references and urban practicality, which were the essence of the gorgeous fall collection.
Models’ straight hair was parted in the middle by a braid that started at the forehead and added an ethnic element to the cool urban look. The makeup, created by Bobbi Brown makeup artist Kim Soane, also brought up Wild West references with dark rusty lips and strong eyebrows. “The look expresses a clean, natural feel with fresh and illuminated skin and a simple nude eye. This is contrasted by the strong brow and full stained lip that convey soul and a refined grittiness,” designer Amy Smilovic said before the show.
This look will definitely translate from the runway to the streets once fall comes around, so here you have it, step-by-step, product-by-product!
