Tory Burch’s Effortless Beauty
September 10, 2014
Spring is all about “effortless beauty,” says makeup artist Diane Kendal backstage at the Tory Burch show yesterday. The models sported a natural eye and a pale, rosy pink lip that reflected the spirit of Francoise Gilot, an artist and muse of Pablo Picasso. To complement the Spring 2015 collection’s prints and pops of color, Kendal kept the skin clean and fresh with a sheer bronze glow.
She prepped the skin with a light foundation and applied lip balm to even the skin tone with a dewy finish. Kendal filled brows with pencil where needed and brushed through for a natural, but groomed look. Kendal kept the eyes completely natural and did not add any mascara to maintain the clean look.
Next, Kendal used the Tory Burch Bronzer and Blush in Divine, a combination of three shimmery tones, brushed across cheeks. From the same palette, she then used the highlight color across the cheekbones.
To finish the look, Kendal chose Tory Burch “Ramble on Rose” from the designer’s collection of 12 lip color shades. The pale, rosy pink shade was dabbed on the model’s lips with fingers to set the color.
