Lanvin Word Necklaces
November 15, 2013
Happy, Cool and Love are some of the words that top fashion editors and bloggers have been wearing around their necks throughout the past few months. Taking the ever-popular word pendant necklace a step further, Alber Elbaz from Lanvin has created the oversized golden necklaces that more than one It girl is crushing on right now. As a bold worded statement, the Lanvin necklace is easy to wear over a simple T-shirt, a leather dress, a lace top, and even layered with one, or plenty of, chain pieces just as Elbaz presented on the Fall 2013 runway. Fashion is a dance between minimalism and maximalism, but let’s just say that in the eyes of Elbaz, when it comes to jewelry, more is always more. (And less is a bore, as our fashion director Ken Downing says.)
Our favorite fashion editors have been dressing the Lanvin Love, Happy and Cool necklaces up and down, from the streets to multiple industry events. Click on the photo to see the full slideshow!
Fashion Editor Giovanna Battaglia takes the maximalist route with a geometric jade necklace underneath the Love pendant. The necklace game adds a fun touch to her otherwise classic black and white look.
On another note, Russian stylist Anya Ziourova wears her Happy pendant over an almost minimal yellow ensemble.
Fashion blogger Shea Marie of Peace Love Shea steps up her relaxed-chic Californian style with the Cool Lanvin piece. She wears a crop sweater, leather skirt, booties and a leopard backpack, making the look as young and cool as it gets. And yet, the necklace looks just as interesting layered over a sheer lace top with golden bra underneath.
Fellow fashion editors who have donned the Lanvin word necklaces include Anna Dello Russo and Elina Halimi. Dello Russo wore a black and gold ensemble during Paris Fashion Week, in which the Lanvin piece laid over a belted mini leather dress, topped with a straw hat.
