Time’s Arrow Handbags
October 3, 2013
When it comes to handbags, every woman is usually on the hunt for the next perfect everyday bag. One that is stylish, unique, well made and classic enough to be worn day after day, from the office to dinner parties and even the weekends.
Time’s Arrow’s inaugural collection launched this Fall in Neiman Marcus to the pleasure of more than a few handbag collectors. Christine Park, a veteran in the fashion industry, and an avid handbag shopper before launching Time’s Arrow, says that the line’s name is a metaphor. “We’re all moving in a forward trajectory and take necessities with us.”
The collection has a full array of crossbody bags, clutches, pouches and totes in sleek, geometric designs made of printed calfskin, lustrous calf leather and an embossed lambskin, which imitates the croc look, finished with light golden arrow-shaped hardware.
The scaled-down, structured handbags and are definitely on spot, but the complexity of a Time’s Arrow bag definitely comes to light after opening the bag and discovering the folding details and hidden pockets that transform themselves according to the owner’s needs. It’s the mix of architectural references and origami folds that exude the sophistication we expect of an everyday handbag. “Everything has its place – you know where your things are and where you are going.”
