10 Things: To Give for a very fashionable Valentine’s Day by Tina Craig
February 12, 2015
This year’s Valentine’s Day falls right in the middle of New York Fashion Week, to fashion insiders’ delight. If there were ever a reason for an über-fashionable Valentine’s Day, this one is it. As a regular #NMinsider, Tina Craig, a.k.a. Bag Snob, loves to share her front-row and backstage photos with us, as well as give some much appreciated advice on the chicest hotels to stay in, where to dine, drink, get your hair done and even where to enjoy the best Valentine’s Day dinner in NYC. This week she curated a list of luxurious gifts that every girl would love – plus few special gifts for your NM man (or in Tina’s words, your Man Snob), in case you are suffering from gifting block syndrome.
“From a decadent dinner to a bag that will steal your heart, there’s no excuse not to celebrate the day that honors love, lust, and passion in snobby style.” –Tina Craig
Where to go
Hôtel Americano: While the name alone gets me, I cannot think of anywhere more romantic than a winter-rooftop cocktail lounge serving French Alps comfort food, accompanied by sweeping views of New York City. (It’s also a perfect spot to propose. #justsaying)
Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe Menu: Three courses for $79, with a wine pairing option at $49 (à la carte menu not available) and open reservation times from 5pm to 11:45pm.
