Alexander McQueen For Crystal Charity
September 20, 2013
The much-anticipated Alexander McQueen fall 2013 collection arrived at the Neiman Marcus flagship in Dallas last week to support the 39th annual Crystal Charity Ball Fashion Show and Luncheon. A luxurious custom tent covered in dark brocade walls and red carpet was raised to accommodate the Plexiglas runway with video projection, as well as the exquisitely decorated round tables surrounding it. The Crystal Charity Ball Committee expected to raise more than $500,000 for children’s charities. Also for the occasion, Vanity Fair correspondent Amy Fine Collins presented the Ten Best Dressed women in Dallas, who all wore McQueen. Needless to say, there were plenty of beautifully sculpted frocks and accessories off and on the runway, along with the majestic Alexander McQueen collection of feathers and pearls embroidered into Elizabethan-turned-modern coats and dresses.
