Refinery 29, CFDA & NM Spotlight Series Dinner Celebrating Rachel Zoe
April 16, 2015
There’s something to be said for the love the fashion industry feels for designer Rachel Zoe. Last night marked a celebration of just that: all things Zoe. Refinery 29 and the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) hosted an intimate dinner at Terrine in Los Angeles in partnership with Neiman Marcus. The night was kicked off by CFDA CEO Steven Kolb, who toasted the crowd, many dressed in the New Bohemian look of long, printed midi dresses, fringe and jumpsuits, while others wore the California classic – denim on denim. Refinery 29 Editor-in-Chief Christene Barberich, who remarked, “Rachel Zoe has been a visionary stylist for years, and it’s been wonderful to watch her translate that vision into not just a ready-to-wear line of clothing but a lifestyle perspective that has inspired millions of women all over the world.” Guests were delighted by a surprise a capella performance by Caroline Vreeland, and spent the evening chatting and mingling while enjoying a four-course selection including Plateau de Fromage, Farro, Cote de Boeuf, Whole Roasted Loup de Mer, and a variety of desserts in the candlelit courtyard. Also enjoying the festivities were CFDA members Greg Chait, Jennifer Meyer, Clare Vivier, Emily Current & Meritt Elliot along with notable talent attendees as Lykke Li, Rosetta & Balthazar Getty, Tori Praver and Derek Blasberg, to name a few.
