Stephen Webster at NM Fort Lauderdale
February 4, 2015
Major occasions call for major jewels. It’s no surprise, then, those moments are often punctuated with the show-stopping bijoux of Stephen Webster. The UK-born designer had his own momentous reason for toasting the debut of his Magnipheasant couture jewelry collection and chose NM Fort Lauderdale as the venue for his worldwide launch (you know what they say about birds of a feather). The Precious Jewels Salon was draped in floor-to-ceiling swaths of emerald green and cobalt, setting the stage for a series inspired by the bucolic English countryside—specifically, the lustrous plumage of its native pheasants. He articulated his vision through a vivid spectrum of marquis-cut precious gemstones and pave diamonds featured in collars, three-finger rings, bracelets, and other finery. VIP guests mixed and snapped photos with designer, and some even picked up a few new sparklers for their own collections.
