Francis Kurkdjian is a master in the art of scent. He created Jean Paul Gaultier’s first perfume for men – Male – almost twenty years ago, and ever since, he has envisioned a plethora of iconic fragrances and olfactory installations that culminated in the opening of Maison Francis Kurkdjian four years ago. A whole olfactory wardrobe is what the maison has become known for, now with the recent launch of scented shower gels and body creams that complete the body care ritual of MFK devotees.
Fans will be happy to find the famous Aqua Universalis, Aqua Vitae and Oud fragrances in the form of rich body creams, as well as Amyris, APOM and Lumière, scents exclusively dedicated to women. “The body creams are nourishing and moisturizing. They are all paraben-free and the key ingredient is Karite butter extract,” explains Kurkdjian.
The winter season couldn’t be a better moment to add one of these luxurious creams to our beauty routine, or better said, ritual, a time when our skin needs a little extra nourish and moisture. We can’t wait to dive into this new sensorial experience, and, if there’s doubt as to which of the six creams to begin with, Kurkdjian has made his Holiday pick already: “Aqua Vitae, as a celebration of the beauty of life, it’s a perfect scent for the holidays and the winter season. It is as light as air, and as warm as cashmere.”
