3:00pm – 3.1 Phillip Lim, Spring 2014
Designer Phillip Lim drew inspiration from the planet’s rawest beauty. Rock crystals formed the runway and watery blue images of Mother Nature were embroidered on hems. Lim’s tomboy spirit continues with metallic loafers, chunky low-heeled sandals and tie-dyed boxy bomber jackets.

4:00pm – Adam Lippes, Spring 2014 presentation
The penthouse patio of the Maritime Hotel offered fresh air and fresh sportswear from comeback kid Adam Lippes. Adam said the lowrider culture of Sao Paolo gave him creative inspiration, subtly influencing the animal motifs and fabric choices that he worked into perfectly easy, modern, feminine sportswear. -JS

5:00pm – Alice + Olivia, Spring 2014 presentation
“Carefree collegiate” was designer Stacey Bendet’s theme, and this collegiate will be ready for anything come Spring, as long as it’s a social occasion. Preppy met pretty in crop tops, ball skirts, and white dresses (the LWD,) topped with great blazers and embellished cardigans. The brand launched two new handbag styles in bright colors, in contrast to the understated palette of the clothes. A+O always creates a fun, festive atmosphere to start the evening. -JS

6:00pm – Reem Acra, Spring 2014
Reem Acra is best known for red carpet moments, but this time she had a Studio 54 moment, concentrating on draped, fluid dresses worthy of disco divas. Dresses in houndstooth and dotted patterns suggested daytime, but had no less sex appeal than their cocktail-hour counterparts. The Reem Acra lady loves the nightlife. -JS

8:00pm – Vanity Fair’s International Best-Dressed List party

Vanity Fair has partnered with Neiman Marcus for their International Best-Dressed List, which made the IBDL fête on Monday night a special occasion to continue celebrating style.
Needless to say, plenty of very-well-dressed attendees, including actress Michelle Dockery, Tina Craig, Tory Burch, Amy Fine Collins and our very own Ken Downing, gathered outdoors for cocktails on the newly renovated courtyard at the Palace Hotel.

9:00pm – Tom Odell presented by Burberry
Burberry’s Christopher Bailey has a knack for recognizing young British talent, and helped put singer-songwriter Tom Odell on the global stage when he picked one of Odell’s songs for a Prorsum show soundtrack. Tonight Burberry brought the piano man and his big, brassy band to the McKittrick Hotel (site of the concluded Sleep No More phenomenon) for an intimate show. Odell thrilled the fashion crowd with his own songs and a cover of The Beatles’ “Oh Darling.” -JS
