“The Return” by Karl Lagerfeld, premiered yesterday, December 10, prior to the Chanel Metiers D’Art runway show in Dallas.

Starring Geraldine Chaplin as Coco Chanel, the film recounts the period in the Fifties that marked the return of Chanel to the fashion spotlight as a master of style and good taste. Just as Lagerfeld stated, it was precisely the American press and stores like Neiman Marcus that were crucial to the comeback of the iconic Chanel style, which is as significant now as it was then.

The premiere took place in a Fifties-inspired drive-in theater, and the Texan/American tributes continued throughout the night in the Dallas Fair Park.
